TBF Racing Key Staff 2008-2009

TBF Racing began in 1998 with the Granite Bay Triathlon. Since then we have put on over 125 Multi-Sport Events in Northern California. We have developed a reputation as a company that cares about the athletes that race with us. A big part of the success of our events is the Key Staff working at our races and the volunteers participating as part of our Race for FREE Athlete Volunteer Program.

Each year we bring on new Key Staff, individuals who are interested in being part of our dynamic team. These individuals help create an environment of energy, enthusiasm and fun at all of our events. They also insure that our events are safe, start on time, and are accurate with all of our timing and awards. Without the TBF Racing Key Staff we could not bring you the professional events we are known for.

The TBF Racing Key Staff will be present at all of our events – and some staff members will also do additional work before or after the event weekends. The annual season for our Key Staff begins in June with our first TRI for FUN and Tri for Real weekend and runs until the following April, ending with the ICE Breaker Triathlon. This includes 12 weekends of racing as listed below:

Beginning in 2008, you can intern at the following events:

  • February 2 and 3 2008 Chanoko MTB Duathlon, Kids Duathlon and MTB Challenge
  • February 23 and 24 Chanoko MTB Duathlon, Kids Duathlon, and MTB Challenge
  • March 15 & 16 Chanoko MTB Duathlon, Kids Duathlon, and MTB Challenge
  • March 30 Real MTB Triathlon
  • April 5 ICE Breaker Swim
  • April 12 & 13 Granite Bay Duathlon and ICE Breaker Triathlon.

In 2008 TBF Racing Key Staff are required for the following full season of Events:

The 2008-2009 TBF Racing Key Staff positions are:

    • Course Director
    • Registration Assistant
    • Venue Assistants
    • Promotions Director
    • Timing Assistant

TBF Racing key staff
Each of these positions will be involved with all 12 weekends of racing. Some positions will work additionally either before or after the event weekends. The requirements for becoming part of the TBF Racing Key Staff is the ability to commit to all 12 weekends of racing, a professional, positive, and personable attitude, and a familiarity with TBF Racing Multi-Sport Events – either through participation in our Race for FREE Volunteer Program or in our Spring Key Staff Intern Program.

TBF Racing key staffDuring our 10 spring events we audition interested individuals by having them volunteer at as many of the 5 weekends of racing that they can, which gives them a chance to learn our systems and gives us a chance to evaluate individuals for the positions in which they are interested. This Key Staff Intern program concludes with the April ICE Breaker Triathlon, preparing the new Key Staff Members to start their annual season with the June TRI for FUN and Tri for Real events.

As a return for all of their work and efforts our TBF Racing Key Staff will receive a compensation package that includes:

  One or two, free, all-expenses paid, trip(s) to Thailand with TBF Travel at the conclusion of their annual season. The trip for the current staff – The Jungle Adventure, can be previewed at www.thailandadventuretravel.com The retail value of this trip is approximately $3,400 per person and includes all accommodations, activities, transportation – including roundtrip international airfare, plus a wonderful experience in Thailand

  Free inclusion in ALL TBF Training Multi-Sport Classes. This includes our Spring, Summer and Fall Triathlon Classes, our Mountain Bike Classes, and our TBF Track Attack Running Class.
