Race Details

The Weekend Warrior Games will feature the Adventure Race, XTreme Run, Gauntlet for Kids! Entry includes tech t-shirt, hot post race meal, athlete goody bag, and raffle prizes.

Sacramento Adventure Race Distance: Beach Dash .5 mile – Kayak 3 miles – Trail Run 6 miles – Mountain Bike 8 miles – ‘Gauntlet’ and Obstacle course
XTreme Run: Beach Dash .5 mile – Trail Run 6 miles – ‘Gauntlet’ and Obstacle course
The Gauntlet for Kids: Sand sprint – ‘Gauntlet’ and Obstacle Course

Adventure Race

Individual $80 until 3/1/12, $90 until race day
Two-person Team $120 after, $150 race day
XTreme Run
$50 after, $60 race day

Packet pick up: Sunday April 29 7 – 9:30 am at Race Site.

Race Features

Adventure Race Course Description:
Beach Dash - The race starts from Granite Beach, Folsom Lake with a .5 mile dash down the beach to their kayaks.  

Kayak - The 3 mile kayak will take place in Folsom Lake along the shoreline out to Beeks Bight and back. Competitors will supply their own kayaks for the race.

Trail Run – The 6 mile trail run will start and finish at Beeks Bight and run along the Pioneer Express Trail. There will be one aid station and a CheckPoint Card pick up spot at the turn-around.

Mountain Bike – The 8 mile mountain bike course will begin and end at the Granite Bay Transition area. The course will contain single track, double track, climbs, downhills and some sand.

The Guantlet – The Gauntlet for the Adventure Race will begin with the Giant Deluxe Obstacle Course, the Spider Zone and finish with our own TBF custom obstacle course.

Transition Area – There will be two transition areas: one lakeside for the kayaks and one near the finish line for the mountain bikes. The transition area at all TBF Racing events is for athletes only. All non-athletes must remain outside of the transition area at all times on race day. Bodymarking will be take place at the entrance to the transition area and must be completed before you enter the transition area. Athletes will have their race number marked on their legs and arms and have their age division on their calf. Glass or bottles are not allowed in the transition area.

XTreme Run Course Description:

The Gauntlet for Kids Description:
The Guantlet for Kids – The Gauntlet for Kids will begin with two giant inflatables: the Giant Deluxe Obstacle Course and the Spider Zone and will finish with our own TBF custom obstacle course.

Aid Stations:
Aid stations will be located in the transition area and at each CheckPoint on the course. The aid stations will be stocked with cold water, energy gels, and electrolyte beverage.

Divisions/Awards:
For the Adventure Race there will be four divisions for male and female individuals: 19 and under, 20-39, 40-55, and 56+. For Two Person Teams there will be two divisions: under 60 (combined ages of competitors) and over 60 years of age. Custom Awards will be presented to first, second and third place in each division for individuals and two person teams.

For the XTreme Run there will be 10-year age groups beginning with 19 and under and ending with 60+ for male and female individuals. Custom Awards will be presented to first place in each male and female age group.

For The Gauntlet for Kids there will be finisher ribbons for all competitors completing the course.  

Equipment:
During the mountain bike leg helmets must be worn and buckled on the bike at all times. Life jackets must be worn and buckled on the kayak leg. Run numbers must be worn on the run and when crossing the finish line. Listening devices of any kind: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc… are not allowed.

Competitor Goodies:
Included for each competitor in the Adventure Race and XTreme Run is a race tech-tee race shirt, custom race visor, athlete goody bag with CLIF Bar and Emerald Nuts product samples.

Post Race Athlete Food:
Included for each competitor is a post race meal of hot pasta with salad, fruit, cookies and beverage.

Race Course and Finish Line Photography:
Action photographs before, during and after the event will be taken by James Pratt Photography, the Official Race Photographer for Total Body Fitness, and available online at James Pratt Photography after the race.

Sports Expo:
The post race sports expo will have vendors such as Total Body Fitness, TRI Addicts, EFX, Fleet Feet Sports, and Kinetic Cycles.

Training and Coaching:
TBF Training provides group workouts and coaching for the sport of Triathlon along with individual Multi-Sport Coaching and Personal Training.

Race Gear:
Look your best and race your best with TBF Triathlon apparel. Bike jerseys, Tri Singlets, and Tri Shorts are available in both male and female styles/sizes.
