Race Features
The Chanoko Half Marathon Trail Run is part of XTERRA Trail Run Series - and a qualifier for the XTERRA National Championship Race. The course begins at Granite Beach and runs on single- track trails through the foothills surrounding Folsom Lake, winding around and along the lakeshore then back towards the finish line to complete the first lap of two laps filled with nature, wildflowers, scenic vistas, and fun trails.

Divisions

There will be 10-year age groups beginning with 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and ending with 70+ for male and female individuals.


Awards

There will be a first place overall award for the top male and female individual. Awards will be given to the top three athletes in each 10-year age group.


Course Description and Map

The 13.1 mile run course begins at Granite Beach and runs on single- track trails into the foothills surrounding Folsom Lake, winding around and along the lakeshore and back towards finish line to complete the first lap. This two lap course is filled with nature, wildflowers, scenic vistas, and fun trails.

Rules and Regulations

Run Course
Run numbers must be worn on the run and when crossing the finish line. Exercise caution when running off of the trails, as there may be Poison Oak.

Use of headphones or other listening devices during ALL portions of the race ARE NOT ALLOWED.


Finish Line
After crossing the finish line please take a cold water or Gatorade Sports beverage and continue walking to allow your body to cool down. You should remain active for 10 to 15 minutes while you are drinking and re-fueling your body. If you need medical attention or are feeling unwell please proceed to the TBF Medical Tent or notify a TBF Volunteer that you need medical attention.

Packet Pick-up
Packet pick-up and registration will be available from 7:00 am to 8:30 am at the race start/finish area at Granite Beach of Folsom Lake, Granite Bay.


TBF Nutrition
GU and Gatorade are provided in all athlete goody bags. GU and Gatorade and water are available in transition and on the run courses. GU Gels are available on the run courses. GU and Gatorade are available at the finish line.

Parking and Park Entrance Fee
Hotels in the Roseville/Granite Bay area include: Oxford Suites (916) 784-2222, Hilton Garden Inn (916) 773-7171 and the Courtyard by Marriott (916) 772-5555. Camping is available nearby at Beal's Point Folsom Lake. Information regarding camping can be obtained at (916) 988-0205

Spectator Information
Our TBF Racing Athlete Volunteer Program offers you a chance to get involved with events, have fun and earn a $40 TBF Racing voucher good towards entry fees at any of our events - plus free food. Pick up your RACE For FREE Athlete Voucher at the end of your shift. Complete event schedule
Spectators are welcome at the XTERRA Chanoko Half Marathon trail run and all TBF Racing events. Spectator food and drinks will be available for sale and free coffee is available in the morning. Stop by the TBF booth at the expo and find out how you can learn the sport of Triathlon through TBF Training


Refund and Transfer Policy

TBF Racing has a No Refund policy on all of our events. A Refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus $25 processing fee. Credits will not be given during race week.

Transfers will be allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There will be a $25 transfer fee. Transfers will not be allowed during race week.
