Race Details
The MTB Madness - Team Mountain Bike Racing will feature Team Competition in Cross Country and Dirt Crit races, plus Big Air and Wheelie contests. The MTB Madness has a 1-lap Junior division, a 2-lap Novice division, 3 laps for Sport and Single Speed divisions, and a 4-lap Expert/Pro division. Each lap is 8 miles of challenging, scenic, fast single track trails, up and down the foothills surrounding Folsom Lake. The course is perfect for first-timers and exciting fun skilled riders as well. All events are rain or shine, the course is great to ride in all weather.

Junior (14-under): 1 lap – 8 miles | Novice: 2 lap – 16 miles | Sport/Single-Speed: 3 laps – 24 miles |
Expert/Pro: 4 laps – 32 mile
Packet pick up: March 4th from 7-9 am at Race Site.

Race Features
The MTB Madness - will feature Individual and Team Competition in the Cross Country race, plus Big Air and Wheelie contests. The MTB Madness has a 1-lap Junior division, a 2-lap Novice/HS Novice division, 3 laps for Sport/HS Sport/Single Speed divisions, and a 4-lap Expert/HS Expert/SS Expert/Pro division.
Course Description:
The MTB Madness race course is on multi-use trails within the Granite Bay State Park on Folsom Lake. The course features a fun, challenging combination of twisting single-track, wide double track, rolling cross-country with some sand and a bit of pavement. The course is perfect for first-timers and exciting fun for all levels. Please be respectful of other trail users including hikers and equestrian riders in this state park. All events are rain or shine, the course is great to ride in all weather.
Feed Zones:
Feed zones will be located on the course serving bottles of cold water, and Electrolyte beverage.

Divisions/Awards:
There will be age groups in the Novice, Sport and Expert division for Men: 17 and under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+. Women will have one division for Expert, and two divisions: 34 and under, 35+ for Sport and Novice Divisions. The Junior division of 14 and under will have no age groups. There will be a Single Speed Sport and Single Speed Expert division for Men and Women with no age groups.
Awards will be given three deep in each age group and division as listed above.
Team Awards will be given to Mountain Bike Teams with 10 or more riders registered for the MTB Madness Events: Cross Country Race, Dirt Crit Race, Big Air and Wheelie Contests. |

Equipment:
Listening devices of any kind: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc…are not allowed. Helmets must be worn and buckled on the bike at all times.

Competitor Goodies:
Included for each competitor is a custom TBF Madness Cycle Cap and an athlete goody bag with CLIF Bar, Emerald Nuts, and other product samples.
Post Race Athlete Food:
Included for each competitor is a post race meal of hot soup or chili with fruit, cookies and beverage.
Training and Coaching:
TBF Training provides group workouts and coaching for the sport of Triathlon along with individual Multi-Sport Coaching and Personal Training.

Look your best and race your best with TBF Triathlon apparel. Bike jerseys, Tri Singlets, and Tri Shorts are available in both male and female styles/sizes.
