Race Features

The TBF Friday Night Mountain Bike Racing Series will have a 6-7 mile course will feature terrain fun for all levels of mountain bike riders. There will be one, two and three lap options with Series Champions for both the June and July Series in every 10 year age group for Novice, Sport, and Expert riders and in Junior and Single Speed divisions. Expect a well-marked course, tough competition, excellent race announcing and post race refreshments, and the quality of TBF MTB Racing events.

Entry fees
The TBF Friday Night Mountain Bike Racing Series will offer a fast fun course for an exciting Friday Night of single track riding and racing. The 6 mile course will feature terrain fun for all levels of riders: from new to the sport to advanced riders, with one, two or three lap options. Series Champions in every 10 year age group receive Champion Apparel for Novice, Sport, Single Speed and Expert Divisions. Series Champions also for Junior Division.

All six events separately at $20 each ($25 on race day) or as a six-race Series for $90.


TBF Friday Night Mountain Bike is back in July with the three-race Series on July 16th, 23rd, and 30th. Come out and enjoy the fun 6 to 7-mile course with 1, 2, or 3-lap options. Single Speeders will do 3-laps in the July Series. Sign up for all 3 races for only $50 here.

Half Price for Junior riders 14 and under at the June 18th event.

Registration
Divisions

There will be Junior (14 and under), Novice, Sport, Single Speed and Expert Divisions for the Friday Night MTB Racing Series. Junior and Novice Divisions will do One Lap. Sport Division and Single Speed division will do two laps, and Expert Division will do three laps. Each lap is 6 miles.


Series Awards

There will be Series Awards for the age group champion in each Division for both
the June Series (three races) and the July Series (three races). First overall male and female rider for each division will receive TBF MTB Champion Apparel for their Series Victory. Finish points will be awarded to the top riders in each division: 1 point for 1 st , 2 points for 2 nd , etc…and tallied for the three races – with the lowest total winning, in order to establish each age group division Champion.


Course Description and Map

The Friday Night MTB Racing features a race course on multi-use trails within the Granite Bay State Park on Folsom Lake. The course offers a fun and challenging combination of twisting single-track, wide double track, and rolling cross-country trails with some sand and a bit of pavement. The course is perfect for first-timers and exciting for all levels. Please be respectful of other trail users including hikers and equestrian riders in this state park. All events are rain or shine, the course is great to ride in all types of weather.


Mountain Bike Rules and Regulations

Numbers must be worn when crossing the finish line. Exercise caution on the side of the trails, as there may be Poison Oak.

Use of headphones or other listening devices during ALL portions of the race ARE NOT ALLOWED.


Finish Line
There will be post race food and refreshments for all athletes each Friday night. After crossing the finish line please take a cold water or Clif Bar Sports beverage and continue walking to allow your body to cool down. You should remain active for 10 to 15 minutes while you are drinking and re-fueling your body. If you need medical attention or are feeling unwell please proceed to the TBF Medical Tent or notify a TBF Volunteer that you need medical attention.

Packet Pick-up
Race Number and packet pick-up and registration will be available from 5 pm to 6:30 pm at the race start/finish area at Granite Beach of Folsom Lake, Granite Bay.


TBF Nutrition
Clif Bars are provided in all athlete goody bags. Clif Shot Electrolyte Drink and water are available in transition and on the run courses. Clif Shot Energy Gels are available on the run courses. Clif Shot Recovery Drink and Vitamin Water are available at the finish line.

Our TBF Racing Athlete Volunteer Program offers you a chance to get involved with events, have fun and earn a $40 TBF Racing voucher good towards entry fees at any of our events - plus free food. Pick up your RACE For FREE Athlete Voucher at the end of your shift. Complete event schedule
Spectators are welcome at the Friday Night Mountain Bike Racing and all TBF Racing events. Spectator food and drinks will be available for sale and free coffee is available in the morning. Stop by the TBF booth at the expo and find out how you can learn the sport of Triathlon through TBF Training

Refund and Transfer Policy

TBF Racing has a No Refund policy on all of our events. A Refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus $25 processing fee. Credits will not be given during race week.

Transfers will be allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There will be a $25 transfer fee. Transfers will not be allowed during race week.
