TBF MTB 50 Miler
TBF Racing presents the 3rd Annual TBF MTB 50 Miler, an Endurance Mountain Bike Race at Granite Bay, Folsom Lake. The course features a fun, challenging combination of twisting single-track, wide double track and rolling cross-country with no time limit or fun limit.
Start Time: TBF MTB 50 Miler - 9:00 am
Packet pick up: Sunday October 23rd from 6:30-9 am at Race Site.

Race Features
The TBF MTB 50 Miler will have for Solo Riders 10-year age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+ for male and female riders. There will be one Single Speed division for male and female Solo Riders.
For 2-person teams there will age divisions of Under-80, or Over-80 for male and female teams, with total age determining the division. There will be a Coed Division and Single Speed Division with no age groups.
For 4-person teams there will be age divisions of Under-160, or Over-160 for male and female teams with total age determining the division. There will be a Coed Division, which must have 2 female and 2 male riders, and a Single Speed Division, both with no age groups.
Course Description:
The TBF MTB 50 Miler race course will have a 12.5 mile loop to complete four times on multi-use trails within the Granite Bay State Park on Folsom Lake. The course features a fun, challenging combination of twisting single-track, wide double track, rolling cross-country with some sand and a bit of pavement. The course is perfect for first-timers and exciting fun for all levels. Please be respectful of other trail users including hikers and equestrian riders in this state park. All events are rain or shine, the course is great to ride in all weather.
Feed Zones:
Feed zones will be located on the course serving bottles of cold water, and Electrolyte beverage.

Divisions/Awards:
Awards will be given five-deep in each age group for the Solo riders, and three-deep for the Two-person teams and the Four-person teams.
Sierra Nevada Trail Challenge:
The Sierra Nevada Trail Challenge competition combines your finish time from the Sierra Trail Half Marathon on Saturday October 20 with your finish time as a Solo Rider from the TBF MTB 50 Miler mountain bike race on Sunday October 21. The top male and female athletes with the fastest time from both days will win a Free Cruiser Bicycle worth over $500. All athletes racing both days will be automatically entered into the Sierra Nevada Trail Challenge.
Equipment:
Listening devices of any kind: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc…are not allowed. Helmets must be worn and buckled on the bike at all timess.

Competitor Goodies:
Each rider at the TBF MTB 50 Miler will receive with their entry into the TBF MTB 50 Miler a custom race t-shirt, MTB 50 Miler Hat, and MTB 50 Miler water bottle along with post race hot meal, athlete massage, raffle prizes and athlete goody bag.
Post Race Athlete Food:
Included for each competitor is a post race meal of hot pasta with salad, fruit, cookies and beverage.
Race Course and Finish Line Photography:
Action photographs before, during and after the event will be taken by James Pratt Photography, the Official Race Photographer for Total Body Fitness, and available online at James Pratt Photography after the race.
Sports Expo:
The post race sports expo will have vendors such as Total Body Fitness, EFX, Fleet Feet Sports, and Kinetic Cycles.
Athlete Massage:
Free post race athlete massage will be provided courtesy of National Holistic Institute of Sacramento.
TRI Clubs:
If you are a member of a Triathlon Club that has 10 or more athletes racing with TBF Racing we can provide Reserved bike racks in the transition area for your club, have your club set up a tent in the expo/athlete area, and hang your banners at the event. To take advantage of this program, TRI Clubs must send the list of 10 or more pre-registered athletes to Bill@totalbodyfitness.com 7-10 days prior to the race.
Training and Coaching:
TBF Training provides group workouts and coaching for the sport of Triathlon along with individual Multi-Sport Coaching and Personal Training.

Refunds and Transfers:
TBF Racing has a No Refund policy on all of our events. A Refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus $25 processing fee. Credits will not be given during race week. Transfers will be allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There will be a $25 transfer fee. Transfers will not be allowed during race week.
